HENDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Actually bought his walk out shirt in admiration. I like to think it makes up for the PPVs I’m not buying.

Hendo v. Shogun for the following reasons:

1) I saw it live
2) It made me buy the event shirt after the card was finished because it was so damn awesome.
3) It was not a sleeper FOTYC. Everyone had sky high hopes for that fight and the sheer brutality that was expected and it so ridiculously exceeded even the loftiest expectations.

I have to give an incredible amount of credit to Gray and Frankie because heading into last year, if anyone would have told me that those two would put on two instant classic barnburners I never EVER would have believed them.

Diaz v. Daley was hands down the round of the year. Those two were completely out of their balls in that fight and Paul Daley could have very easily been awarded a stoppage victory after flooring Nick. To his credit, Diaz showed his toughness and came back to finish the prolific striker with strikes of his own later in the round.

Chandler pulled off the title fight upset of the year in his war with Alvarez and absolutely earned that victory. For those two to put on that performance the same night as Dan and Shogun might have been the two best fights to occur on the same night in MMA history.
