Shigeki Osawa Set For Shootboxing 2011 Act 4, September 10th

Shootboxing has announced that Shigeki Osawa will be competing at their Shootboxing 2011 Act 4 event on September 10th. Osawa will meet well-regarded Japanese kick boxer Yusuke Sugawara on the evening.

Shigeki Osawa, a Sengoku veteran with strong grappling credentials, performed well in a loss against Hiroaki Suzuki at Shootboxing 2011 Act 1 in February. His opponent, Yusuke Sugawara, challenged for the RISE super lightweight title at RISE 74 in February, drawing with champion Koji Yoshimoto.

The September 10th event was recently announced as being headlined by a bout between mixed martial artist Toby Imada and Muay Thai striker Bovy Sor. Udomson. The headlining bout is an intriguing one, especially given Imada's success in the Shootboxing arena and Bovy's real need for a win.

Two title bouts are also scheduled for the evening, as former professional boxer Satoru Suzuki will meet Kenji Kanai for the Shootboxing Japan super welterweight title and Akito Sakimura will take on Naguranchun Masa M16 for the Shootboxing Japan featherweight title.

RENA has also been announced as a participant for the event. While she's scheduled to compete on the card, her opponent is yet to be named.
