Errol Zimmerman Knocks Out Nikolaj Falin in Germany on Sunday
Golden Glory member Errol Zimmerman made short work of Nicolaj Falin when the two heavyweights met in the main event of Merseburger Fight Night in Spergau, Germany on Sunday.
Errol Zimmerman knocked Falin out with a hook fifteen seconds into the first round of their bout, marking the second time that Falin has been knocked out by a Golden Glory member in under twenty seconds this year. American heavyweight Mark Miller took all of nine seconds to put Falin away when they met at the United Glory World Series Final event in May.
Errol Zimmerman moves to 3-0 on the year, with first round knockouts over Falin and Zinedine Hameur Lain and a decision victory over Mourad Bouzidi.
In addition to the bout between Zimmerman and Falin, Merserburger Fight Night hosted a four-man kickboxing tournament that was won by Bakar Barakat. Barakat topped Egon Racz in the opening round, while Alban Ahmeti got past Omar Tekin with a stoppage win. The finals saw a closely contested bout between Barakat and Ahmeti go to the former when the judges rendered their decision.
Germany will host a few more notable kickboxing and Muay Thai events in the next couple months, as the Thailand Versus Challenger Series takes to Stuttgart on September 17th and Fight Night Mannheim will happen on October 15th. Both events are scheduled to feature current It's Showtime 95 kg. MAX titleholder Danyo Ilunga.

Yeah
He won that Bigger’s Better tournament and all, put a few grand in his pocket… but definitely getting the short end of the stick against the Golden Glory guys. I guess it’s to be expected though.
