UFC 132 Cruz vs Faber 2 Pay Per View Results: Play by Play and Commentary

Finally, the time we've been waiting for. The Pay Per View portion of the card. Dominick Cruz defends his Bantamweight Championship against Urijah Faber in the main event of the card. In the co-main event, the fight a year in the making, Chris Leben takes on Wanderlei Silva. This is a fight I'm personally interested in seeing because I think that it will tell a lot about both fighters. Leben's legendary chin was cracked in his last fight against Brian Stann and Wanderlei Silva has been out with injuries. Finally, Ryan Bader will look to retire Tito Ortiz. 

Pay Per View starts at 9pm EST and will be a great way to start this 4th of July Weekend.

Carlos Condit vs Dong Hyun Kim

Round 1: Front kick by Condit. Condit comes forward and Kim gets the takedown. Condit with a beautiful sweep and he gets the mount. Kim scrambles and he's back to his feet. Nice left hand by Condit. Condit with a jumping knee! FOLLOWS IT WITH BIG PUNCHES AND KIM IS OUUUUUT!

Dennis Siver vs Matt Wiman

Round 1: Matt Wiman lands a kick. Siver lands one of is own. Siver is just swinging. Shot by Wiman is defended well by Siver. Wiman tosses a headkick. Doesn't land. They trade kicks. They are just throwing recklessly. Takedown by Wiman but Siver is back up. Wiman with the double unders against the cage. Wiman is working for the takedown against the cage and Siver is defending with a guillotine. Leg kick by Siver is heavy. Takedown by Siver and Wiman is looking for a kimura. Siver pulls out and steps away. Siver is throwing everything with power. Wiman divers for a single. Siver defends. With 10 seconds left Wiman gets the takedown. 

Round 2: Wiman working the takedown against against the cage. Siver has a guillotine. Crowd booing as Wiman is defending the submission. Wiman really working for this takedown. Some crazyass takedown and Wiman has Siver on his back. Nice elbow from Wiman from the top which cuts Silver. Another one lands as well. Big elbows from the top by Wiman. Siver really is out of his element off his back. It is nice he's working his takedown defense but he's also gotta figure out a way to get off his back. Another big elbow by Wiman. Siver's face is a bloody mess. Massive elbows by Wiman. This is a really big round for Wiman. Siver looks completely lost. 10-9 Wiman. 

Round 3: Siver throws a teep but it's caught. He escapes but Wiman dives for another takedown against the cage. Spinning back kick by Siver misses, Wiman side steps it. Kick by Wiman buckles Siver's leg. Overhand by Wiman to dive for the single. Two minutes left and Siver is defending this with all his might. Back to their feet and Wiman looking for a guillotine. Siver pops up and Wiman immediately looks for an omoplata. Siver stands up, and gets taken down by Wiman. Siver gets to his feet and a leg kick drops Wiman. The round ends with Wiman on top and Siver looking for a guillotine. 

Official Result: Dennis Siver by Unanimous Decision. I didn't see it that way. Wiman is mad. 

Chris Leben vs Wanderlei Silva

Round 1: These guys just stand in the pocket throwing hooks. Wand lands first. A five punch combo by Wand lands. Leben gets a collar tie and just throws uppercuts. Wanderle is facedown with his butt in the air. Leben is just blasting him. This is a shame. Wand is out of it. May be time for him to hang them up.

Dominick Cruz vs Urijah Faber

Round 1: Cruz lands cleanly with his first punch. Faber works for a takedown but Dominick defends. Body kick by Dom. Knee by Dom. Leg kick by Dom. Jab lands for Faber. Straight by Faber drops Dom who recovers. Faber misses and Dom answers with a knee. Cruz with another leg kick. Those landing well. Leg kicks are landing all night. Faber closes the distance and looks to clinch against the cage. Faber looks confused by Dom's style. Dom lands a couple upper cuts. Faber lands a knee. And an elbow. Jumping knee by Dom. Takedown as the round ends. 10-9 Dominick Cruz.

Round 2: Leg kick by Cruz. Right by Faber. They are both looking for takedowns. Kick by Faber is solid. Cruz follows up with a couple punches that land nicely. Faber lands a big right. Leg kick by Cruz. Cruz's movement is wild. Body and Head combo by Dom. Faber looks for a single. Head kick to a leg kick by Cruz. Uppercut by Cruz. Faber is having a hard closing the distance. He lands a right that has Dom backing up. He lands a knee as well. Takedown by Cruz with 30 left in the round. Classic Dominick Cruz. Faber is up but Dom lands a nice combo. 10-9 Cruz. 

Round 3: Leg kick lands for Faber. Cruz with a straight right. Faber is just looking for shots but there's not much to work with. Faber looks for a takedown and eats a punch. Cruz lands a combo clean to Faber's face. Faber gets the takedown but in the scramble Cruz lands on top. As Faber stands he connects with a right. Dom is landing his combos a lot cleaner now. Faber may be fading. Dom dives for a takedown but Faber defends. Great round for Dominick Cruz. 10-9 Cruz.

Round 4: Cruz is the first to land with some solid rights and then a kick to the body. Right by Faber drops Cruz! Dom looks to survive with a takedown! Uppercut by Cruz! Faber to the body. This is a great fight. Dominick looks to have slowed down. It's bound to happen with his pace. Dominick Cruz looks for a takedown and gets stuffed twice. Right hand by Cruz and Faber with his own hook. Body and heady work by Faber. Dominick looks for another takedown and Faber stuffs it. 10-9 Faber.

Round 5: Jumping knee by Dominick. Dominick and Faber trade against the cage. Cruz with a takedown and he gets it. Faber is back up but Dom has is back. Knee by Faber and Cruz gets him down. Faber looks for a guillotine and Dom escapes. Faber looks for a big punch and Dominick gets the takedown again. Faber is back up. Another takedown by Cruz! Minute and a half left and how the hell is everyone in attendance sitting? This is the fight to put Bantamweight on the map. Cruz with a leg kick. Faber with a head kick. Dominick gets 2 takedowns! And lands a knee to the head! AMAZING FIGHT! 10-9 Cruz!
