Mosab Amrani and Chi Bin Lim Set for It's Showtime x REBELS July 18th
It's Showtime and REBELS have made a second bout official for the kickboxing side of their co-promoted event scheduled for July 18th. The event is already set to be headlined by a bout between two-time K-1 MAX champion Giorgio Petrosyan and Japanese standout Hinata.
Mosab Amrani and Chi Bin Lim will meet in the 65 kg. division, in a bout which, according to the REBELS official website and confirmed by Nightmare of Battle, will determine that division's number one contender under the It's Showtime banner.
Having established himself as a fan favorite in 2010, Mosab Amrani took a bit of a step back in his loss to Houcine Bennoui on the undercard of It's Showtime Lyon on May 14th. Amrani stands at 3-2 through his last five fights, including a defining performance in defeat against Mohammed Khamal last December.
As for Chi Bin Lim, the South Korean fighter has spent the past couple years performing well against lesser competition since his 2009 loss to Yuya Yamamoto. Lim dominated WPMF titleholder Daiki Watabe at REBELS 7 in April and now takes a major step up to make a run at an It's Showtime title.
Current It's Showtime 65 kg. MAX titleholder Orono Wor Petchpun hasn't competed in over a year, last defending his title against Atty Gol in May 2010. Orono is 4-1 in his last five bouts, including a 2010 win over Mike's Gym member Egon Racz.

Is this the same event with Petrosyan vs. Hinata?
Also, thanks for getting us back on track with the kickboxing and Muay Thai. All of this coverage about two underwhelming UFC events in a row has been boring.
This would be the same event, yes.
I somehow forgot to mention that at first. The REBELS side of the card is shaping up nicely too, a lot of Japanese talent with some domestic implications.

Oh, and you're welcome.
A bit of a lull in having much to talk about for a few days there. Anyway, stories are floating around again and there are actually still two or three that I need to churn out because computer troubles and other commitments have me a little behind in writing.
