Star-divide

Yavuz Kayabasi vs. Zeben Diaz

Round 1: Kayabasi just came out with a Brazilian kick. Wow. Diaz has some crisp combinations, but neither man has landed anything of note yet. Diaz is starting to put the punches together a bit more, going to the body and the like. We're halfway through the round and Diaz's combinations are really the story thus far, though it's mostly just the body shots landing cleanly. :40 left and Diaz has continued to work to the body; Kayabasi throws a decent overhand around :32. Diaz is really liking the cross and left hook thus far. The first round has to go to Zeben Diaz 10-9. Round 2: Kayabasi comes in with a head kick that doesn't land cleanly, Diaz is still the aggressor. Spinning back kick from Diaz misses around 2:22. Kayabasi just seems handcuffed by Diaz's combinations and his kicks are looking lackluster. Head kick from Kayabasi again, still isn't landing cleanly. Kayabasi has been attempting knees up the middle but with little success. Diaz with a four punch combination around 1:18, ends with a body shot that lands. It's more of the same through last minute; Diaz is throwing combinations, landing to the body. Kayabasi tries a flying knee near the end of the round which misses. Another clear 10-9 for Zeben Diaz. Round 3: Kayabasi is winging combinations, all that he's landing with are leg kicks. They are hard, but he's open to be countered. Diaz responds accordingly. Kayabasi settles down, we're 40 seconds into the round and back to Diaz keeping Kayabasi at bay with the combinations. Under a minute and it's been the same thing. Diaz is getting his right cross and left hookin there, and though they're not landing all the time, he's keeping Kayabasi back and working the body. This is over. I'd have to say a clean sweep from Zeben Diaz on this one. Zeben Diaz wins via unanimous decision.

Sahak Parparyan vs. Moises Ruibal

Round 1: Somewhat of a slow start here, Parparyan looking to establish the leg kicks while Ruibal is opting to box a bit. Push kick from Sahak puts Ruibal in the corner for a moment but the Armenian isn't able to capitalize. Another push kick from Sahak with a minute left in the round. Ruibal is still boxing, moving back much of the time. Parparyan seems a bit annoyed as he's having trouble putting hands to Ruibal, but Ruibal comes through with a right hand around :40. A jab sneaks through Sahak's guard with just over :20 left. Interesting round in all. Slight edge to Ruibal perhaps. Round 2: After a quick slip from Ruibal, Parparyan begins to open up. Ruibal is still sneaking in his shots. Parparyan throws a good left hook before the 2:00 mark. Ruibal responds with some shots of his own, Parparyan tries to open up again around 1:40. Ruibal is showboating now and he's trying to open up on Sahak. Parparyan throws some shots of his own, but Ruibal is the one connecting. Sahak is throwing wide now, with under a minute left. Moises Ruibal still staying a bit ahead with the punching and avoiding Parparyan's own shots. Round 3: Ruibal lands a glancing hook about twenty seconds into the round. He's circling, as he has been, which is frustrating Sahak. Parparyan lands well at 2:20 though, Ruibal looks a little hurt. Then Sahak starts landing again. Just over two minutes left and Ruibal looks hurt. Twenty seconds later and Ruibal has his back turned to Sahak after missing a punch - not a good sign for the Spanish fighter. Both men missing with blows at this point. Sahak coming in with punches and Ruibal responds with a few leg kicks. Knee up the middle from Sahak with :37 to go. Ruibal looks to be spent, but starts to respond with under twenty seconds. Catches Sahak once or twice. The Armenian responds at the very end of the round. Clearest round of the fight, that went to Sahak 10-9. Sahak Parparyan wins via majority decision (4-1).

Murthel Groenhart vs. Rafi Zouheir

Round 1: Murthel Groenhart isn't touching gloves, he's throwing head kicks. Southpaw stance for Groenhart, his speed is going to cause problems for Zouheir. Zouheir goes to the canvas as Groenhart charges. Zouheir gets up and he's hurt it seems he hit something on the way to the ground. They continue, Groenhart charges. Zouheir floored. He manages to get up and somehow wobbles Groenhart. Groenhart back on the offense. Zouheir warned over spinning back fist. Groenhart comes in with a combination, floors Zouheir and the Spanish fighter's corner throws the towel. Murthel Groenhart wins via first round corner stoppage. The crowd is mad as could be over this bout. Zouheir goes over to Groenhart's corner after the decision and, judging by the motions, he's contending that Groenhart hit him with something illegal that first time he went to the mat.

Karim Bennoui vs. Javier Hernandez

Round 1: Bennoui comes out in an orthodox stance. Hernandez is landing leg kicks - I'm distracted from the action by the fact that Shoreman just called Karim his brother.. Whatever. We're halfway through the round and they're still feeling each other out. Hernandez is pressing the action a bit, but Bennoui is responding in kind. Switching between southpaw and orthodox stance, throwing quick combinations. The challenger lands a very nice leg kick at just over :45 left. Hernandez pushes the action at the close of the round but Bennoui just brushes him off. Round 2: Quick bit of action and Bennoui floors Hernandez. Oh wow, the champion is opening up. Bennoui looks to swarm and gets tripped to the canvas. Swarms again and is warned for hitting to the back of the head. He'll swarm a third time. He catches Hernandez once and looks for the clinch. Warned for that too. Bennoui has utterly dominated the first half of this round. Hernandez looks to return fire around 1:20 but Bennoui still pushing. Knee up the middle from Bennoui doesn't seem to land clean, but Hernandez loses his mouthpiece. Bennoui is looking for the knee, Hernandez responds with a great cross around :32 left. He's pushing forward, Bennoui responds with the same knee. Uppercut from Bennoui near the very end of the round. 10-8 Karim Bennoui. Round 3: Bennoui in the southpaw stance early in the third round. He gets hit and decides to return to orthodox. Uppercut from Bennoui, he's back to southpaw. Hernandez pushing forward, nothing landing too cleanly but he's trying. 1:52 and Bennoui goes with a knee up the middle. Break in the action, same knee from Bennoui - again, not landing cleanly. One minute left and Bennoui throws a left cross, gets countered and dropped by a right hand from Hernandez. Hernandez swarms but Bennoui responds well. They exchange, clinch in close and they're broken up. Hernandez still pressing with :15. Right hook from Bennoui, Hernandez throws a combination and ends the round with a leg kick. 10-8 for Javier Hernandez. Round 4: No real damage dealt through the first thirty seconds of the fourth, Bennoui throwing combinations and Hernandez responds with an overhand right. Both fighters landing, Hernandez's right cross looking a bit more solid. :53 left and Hernandez lands a good left hook on Bennoui. Bennoui comes with left knees repeatedly. Hernandez loses his mouthpiece again. Exchanging against the ropes, both landing a bit although Bennoui's right hand sneaks in a bit more. Round 5: They're exchanging body kicks. Bennoui throws a nice combination, Hernandez with a right cross. Bennoui with another knee. 1:45 left and Hernandez has Bennoui in the corner. Both throw combinations and Bennouid circles right, out of the corner. Jumping knee from Bennoui three times in a row, one looks like it glanced off Hernandez. One minute left, Bennoui searching for the knee continually. Huge uppercut from Bennoui at :44. Right cross from Hernandez at :30 or so. Guess how Bennoui was standing? Southpaw. Yeah. You have to be careful for that shot. Exchanging to the end of the fight, a couple of shots landed by both men. I give round five to Karim Bennoui and would say he took the bout narrowly. Javier Hernandez wins via unanimous decision - each scorecard reading 48-47, which makes no sense unless there were two 10-10 rounds in there. Rounds 4 & 5 perhaps? Javier Hernandez is the new It's Showtime 61 kg. MAX champion.

Gago Drago vs. Abraham Roqueni

Round 1: Here come the kicks. Through the first forty-five seconds, that's most of what it's been. Leg kicks, Roqueni threw a head kick. Just under two minutes left and Roqueni goes to the body. Drago is advancing now, halfway through the round. Neither man is landing anything to write home about yet. Jab, cross from Roqueni around :45, cross may have landed a bit. Body kick from Drago at :25. Roqueni comes back. Roqueni's defense is serving him well here, might honestly be the most interesting thing to me thus far. Round 2: Roqueni still looking evasive. Drago advances, misses, Roqueni lands - story of the bout thus far. That's been the formula to take it to Drago in the past and it works so far for the Spanish fighter. Roqueni opens up around 1:20 left and, while there's not too much landing out of it, he's still scoring. :50 and Roqueni throws one of his awkward, wide shots. Hope he won't start with that. Head kicks from both men near :30. Roqueni outboxing Drago now and goes with a push kick around :15. Roqueni is ahead in this one. Round 3: Drago advances, Roqueni continues to evade most everything. Drago lands a pretty nice leg kick though. Roqueni lands one of his own around 2:25 left. Drago comes in with a right hand halfway through the round and Roqueni sends him to the floor with a solid leg kick. Drago still pushing forward with one minute left, throws a left hook that just doesn't land flush. The Armenian slaps a head kick off Roqueni's gloves. Under thirty seconds left in the bout and Roqueni ends a combination with a pretty nice leg kick. They tie up in close, round comes to the end with a few more shots thrown. Abraham Roqueni wins via majority decision (4-1).

Tyrone Spong vs. Loren Javier Jorge

Round 1: Leg kicks from Spong, Javier Jorge looking to box and mix in a high kick or two. Overhand right from Spong around 2:30 doesn't land cleanly but still shows a lot of force. Left hook to the midsection from Spong, ten seconds later he throws a great overhand right. Javier Jorge was responding to most strikes, but he's slowing down now. Leg kicks from Spong, and there's part of the reason. Less than a minute and Spong is searching for an overhand right. If it lands, Javier Jorge is in trouble. The Spanish fighter tries to come in with a knee at :40 but he's off the mark. Spong with a left knee from the southpaw stance, switches back to orthodox. He comes with a left uppercut that doesn't seem to land clean. 10-9 Spong here. Round 2: Javier Jorge coming in with combinations and Spong bring leg kicks through the opening thirty seconds of the round. Spong returns to the left kne around 2:20, throws both right and left knees a few more times. Both fighters looking to work the clinch here, of course that isn't happening. Inside leg kick around 1:37. Evidently a body shot landed on Javier Jorge, who just took a standing eight count. The crowd is a little upset, as Spong looked to continue attacking. Forty seconds left and they're still working in close. Loren lands a nice little jab with :30 left. Uppercut to the body from Spong and he comes through with a knee to the head right near the end of the round. Javier Jorge nearly took a count on that one. Round 3: Combinations from Spong, bringing knees up the middle around 2:25 left. Overhand right from him bounces off Javier Jorge's head with just over two minutes to go. The Spanish fighter is working leg kicks but there's not much on them. An overhand left from him misses around 1:45. Both fighters getting in close at this point. Not enough action for our esteemed referee, both fighters wanting to get a little fancy. Javier Jorge actually lands a decent right hand and the bout closes here. Tyrone Spong wins via decision.

Are you kidding?

If you were there i just cant understand why you dont post clearly that it was a kick in the head while Rafi was on the ground. It was showed clearly on the replays too. Completely illegal and should have been dqed. Thats why the people went mad.

Atmosphere was good but they also threw plastic water bottles to the ring which really sucks. You should metion that too.
