I feel like somebody stole something from me. I am disappointed by the result, but congratulations to [Brendan] Schaub and thanks to my fans for their support. It's clear that in this sport without hunger, wish and ambition to win there is no success, and its also clear that there is no more left of those in me. He surprised me with that strike, everything was same like against Frank Mir. It seemed to me like I was better. What am I saying? If I was better, I would have won!

This was clear to many fans once he entered the UFC but it’s still hard to grasp even knowing that Cro Cop is saying those words.

I disagree, he speaks plainly and then contradicts himself later. We’ve heard from him that the fire has gone out about 5 times, only to hear the opposite just before the fight.

I hope the UFC does the right thing here. He’ll come back for another 100k payday (who wouldn’t?). He shouldn’t have the option at this point.

I think they will, but there’s always the chance that the injury bug hits the roster in the months leading up to a European card, and then options become re-evaluated…

Cro Cop needs to decide for himself whether he’s going to hang em up or not, and at this point I don’t see the argument for him to keep fighting.

Don't forget that for the high-profile guys, they essentially earn double

to triple their salaries in endorsements when they’re being actively promoted. That might be the bigger piece to consider here, especially for a guy with Cro Cop’s pedigree.

I’d like to see him fight Big Nog again or even Couture, even though I think both fighters still have it a bit more than Cro Cop. He still has some options, but it wouldn’t be terrible if he retired.
