Albert Kraus to Headline Fight Nights: Battle of Moscow 3 on March 12th
Albert Kraus will be competing in the feature bout at the third Fight Nights: Battle of Moscow event being put on March 12th. Kraus will face Russian fighter Batu Khasikov at the 72.5kg. weight limit.
Kraus wrapped up his 2010 with a decision victory over Mohammed Gur at Mix Fight Gala 11 in November, after being defeated by Giorgio Petrosyan in the quarterfinals of the K-1 World MAX World 2010 Final. The Dutch fighter also scored quite the knockout over Tefik Sucu in June, sandwiched between decision victories over William Diender and Hiroki Nakajima.
Meanwhile, Khasikov gained both WAKO and WKA titles in 2010 with a stoppage victory over aged Italian veteran Fabio Corelli and decision against K-1 MAX Portugal 2006 runner-up Ricardo Fernandes (fight video: part 1, part 2).
The Battle of Moscow card will also feature a number of mixed martial arts and combat sambo bouts, primarily showcasing domestic talent. Among those featured in the MMA bouts on the card will be 2010 World Sambo Championships 62kg. front-runner Rasul Mirsaev and 57kg. runner-up Ali Bagautionov.
