Krush First Generation Kings Tournament Round 2 on Sunday

Krush Kings Tournament 2nd Round

The next event from Krush is nearly upon us, as the promotion will be hosting an event centered on the quarterfinals of its -63kg. tournament on Sunday, January 9th. Some of the names that will be featured on the card include Yoshihiro Sato, Koya Urabe, Yuya Yamamoto, and Kizaemon Saiga.

The runner-up in the K-1 World MAX 2010 -70kg. tournament, Yoshihiro Sato will meet Shemsi Beqiri in the main event of the evening. Sato's last bout was in the finals of that tournament, coming against champion Giorgio Petrosyan. Beqiri also dropped his most recent bout in a tournament final, to Faldir Chahbari at the Klash tournament held in November. To his credit, Beqiri did defeat Aalviar Lima back in January to win the Beast of the East tournament at -72.5kg.

The foremost of the -63kg. tournament bouts will see Koya Urabe face off against Sung Hyun Lee. Urabe is the definite kingpin at the weight and defeated Tetsuya Yamamoto at Krush.10. As for Sung Hyun Lee, the South Korean fighter topped fellow tournament competitor Kizaemon Saiga back in October (while I stayed awake until about 6a.m. to watch Giorgio Petrosyan fight).

The Krush -63kg. tournament is set to conclude in March, along with the promotion's ongoing -55kg. tournament and -60kg. tournaments. Competitors Ryuya Kusakabe and Masaaki Noiri anchor the remaining field in those respective tournaments.

A list of bouts from the upcoming weekend's Krush event are after the jump.

Yamamoto

Is one of my favorite Japanese kickboxers (after Masato ofcourse) but he is so inconsistent. Let’s hope is he motivated enough to kick some ass.
He can be ferocious at times but also to hesitant to really let his hand and feet go and it caused for some losses that were not needed

Edson Barboza and Charles Oliveira are gonna stir up the pot at 155!

Sato

Well Sir, have you seen all these fights? Because I watched and I dont think Sato won his fight against Beqiri. It was a robbery imo.
