Badr Hari's Return Announced!
It's the news we've all been waiting for. The biggest name in Kickboxing will finally be making his return this year after taking off most of 2010 to handle his personal business. This news couldn't come at a better time for the kickboxing world that is reeling from issues with FEG and the announcement that It's Showtime has had to cancel its biggest show of the year at Amsterdam ArenA.
Badr Hari will be making his return to active competition in May for It's Showtime in Lyon, France. There is no opponent at this time but an announcement will be made in the next two weeks. Seeing as he wouldn't have competed for a year, I'd expect the opponent to be a name but beatable fighter. Simon Rutz, Hari's manager, told the following to Dutch news source De Telegraaf:
His opponent is expected to be presented within two weeks. "Badr makes his comeback in May," confirms Simon Rutz's manager Hari. "Hopefully Badr now doing what he does best: good fight in the ring. He must show that he is among the best fighters in the world. "
The obvious choice for opponent would be Alistair Overeem, who unfortunately, will be focused solely on the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix. As I wrote in a prior post, this truly is Hari's best chance to dominate kickboxing as both Overeem and Remy Bonjasky are out of competition for the foreseeable future. Reader Robinhorobson takes a guess that the opponent will be none other than Anderson Silva, who is riding a highlight reel knockout of Freddy Kemayo by head kick.
This is the best news I can give you guys right now in a time when we're left to only expect the worst. I am excited as shit and I hope you are too.

Just curious
who will be the next fighter to be kicked in the face when he is down … and will it be this year or next year?
They could get a lot of Americans to watch if its vs. Anderson Silva
Just dont show their faces on advertisements :-D
Even a broken clock is right two times a day.
I hope they are as sneaky as me with the linking
