World Victory Road announced today that 2004 Olympic Silver Medalist, Hiroshi Izumi, will take on British striker, James Zikic, in a light heavyweight bout on SRC 15.

Izumi is 2-1 in MMA since his debut in September of 2009 and is coming off his first stoppage win at Sengoku 13 against Chang Seob Lee. The judoka will get his toughest test to date in the former Cage Rage champion, Zikic.

"The Messenger" has amassed a three fight win streak since his 2007 loss to current UFC middleweight contender, Vitor Belfort. Zikic will actually have a fight this Saturday on the "BAMMA 4: Reid vs. Watson" card against fellow Englishman, John Phillips.

The SRC 15 card will also feature rising star, Maximo Blanco, taking on Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, Leonardo Santos, in a pivotal lightweight battle.

Also on the card will be the semi-finals of Sengoku's Welterweight Grand Prix and the quarter-finals of the Asian Bantamweight Grand Prix.

"Sengoku Raiden Championships 15" will take place October 30th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.

Announced card:
-Hiroshi Izumi vs. James Zikic
-Maximo Blanco vs. Leonardo Santos
-Takuya Wada vs. Keita Nakamura (Welterweight GP Semi-Final)
-Yasubey Enomoto vs. Taisuke Okuno (Welterweight GP Semi-Final)

A really solid fight

This card is starting to look really good. I wonder what else SRC has in store for the event. I would think we could see Mamed Khalidov on this card potentially, maybe against a British Middleweight? They seem to be a presence in SRC as of late.
