Bovy Sor Udomson v. Takaaki Umeno Fight Video
I had heard good things about this fight and finally had a chance to see it - and man does it deliver. This is the main event from Shootboxing Ishin 2, held April 11, 2010. Takaaki Umeno is a Shootboxing veteran, while Bovy Sor Udomson is a dangerous and exciting Thai fighter. Bovy is perhaps a bit past his prime, but he's still a ton of fun, as this fight shows.
Seriously, you should watch this one.
Two parts here, but the fight itself is not all that long, as most of part 1 is promo videos and entrances. If you want to get right to it, the fight begins at about the 6 minute mark.
So, fight of the year? What do you think?

I actually have not watched that one yet. Thanks for the rec! Is that the one from March, this one?

I think this is what a lot of MMA fans would actually like to be watching—even though they don’t know it and if questioned would likely scoff at the idea.
THey loved that fight (Jung/Garcia) but if they saw a similar fight but it wasn’t mma rules they probably wouldn’t even watch.
Idiots.
That's inaccurate and derogatory
As an MMA fan I am offended by your claim. True MMA fans would love a good kickboxing match.
UFC “STAND AND BANG” fans are who I believe you’re really referring to. People like that wouldn’t appreciate good, technical kickboxing for the same reason they dislike the ground game in MMA; they don’t understand or appreciate good martial arts technique.
There’s no need to be adversarial. Combat sports fans should be one big happy family.

amazing
love it
Look at it this way. At least it isn't Rowdy Roddy Piper having success in the HW division.
