Jerome Le Banner v. Mike Bernardo Fight Video
No real reason for this fight today, except that it's probably my favorite 1 round fight in K-1 history. Mike Bernardo v. Jerome Le Banner from March 2001. Le Banner was on a serious roll here, having just won the Nagoya GP tournament by defeating Ernesto Hoost, while Bernardo had just won the Fukuoka GP by defeating Cro Cop. This is a rematch from a 1995 contest that Bernardo won.
Two heavy handed, super aggressive fighters, both in the midst of hot streaks? That's some exciting match making right there. And boy does it pay off:
A brilliant come from behind performance from Bernardo here, and just a crazy, exciting war. The only downside to this fight is that, after reviewing the tapes, they would eventually rule that Bernardo's KO punch came after the bell, so the fight became a No Contest. Still, that hardly takes away from the moment, which is truly epic.

Awesome fight...
I could never get myself to be a Bernardo fan, but I respect him a ton
LeBanner’s boxing looked freaking sharp
I am watching this after just watching Yoshida/Nakamura fight (Yoshida’s retirement fight) and man is it good to see some high level stand up. That’s one thing about MMA, my favorite sport, that I just cannot get over. The stand up ranges from mid level to just plain horrible. Thankfully, there’s K1.
