K-1 (-63kg/MAX) Interviews & Training Vids

K-1 recently released a few new training and interviews videos. First up, Yoshimichi Matsumoto. The former New Japan Kick Boxing Lightweight Champion upset one of the -63kg GP tournament favorites, Haruaki Otsuki, in the 1st round back in May. Matsumoto will now face Daisuke Uematsu in the Quarter final round.

Another training/interview video was released that features the fighter Yuki. He's the former R.I.S.E. 60kg Champion and knocked out Yuji Takeuchi in his 1st round match of the -63kg GP tournament. Yuki will be up against another former New Japan Kickboxing Federation Lightweight champ, Tetsuya Yamato in their GP quarter final match-up.

And lastly, we see a video featuring Hiroki Nakajima who is scheduled to face Albert Kraus in one of three 70kg World Championship Tournament Final 16 matches. Nakajima, the 70kg 2009 Krush GP champion was also a finalist earlier this year at the WORLD MAX 2010 -70kg Japan Tournament where he lost to Yuichiro "Jienotsu" Nagashim.

I think that’s a solid bet, but it’s notable that the other side of the bracket is significantly easier. If the Yuki/Yamato winner meats Ishikawa in the semis, that fighter has a tough night. I could envision Kubo sneaking his way in. And I certainly wouldn’t rule out Ishikawa either.
