The Return of the Gracie Hunter Official for DREAM.14/SRC Adopts Unified Rules
Much like we reported last week, it can be confirmed that Kazushi Sakuraba can put back on his Gracie hunting mask. Earlier today in a press conference held at Kazushi Sakuraba's Laughter7 gym it was announced that DREAM.14 was going to see FEG pull out the big guns in Sakuraba once again facing a member of the Gracie clan, Ralek Gracie. The bout will take place under a catchweight of 88kgs (roughly 194lbs). Of course, if you have forgotten already, this event is taking place withing DREAM's white cage.
The other news from the DREAM camp is a bout between one-time Miguel Torres foe Yoshiro Maeda against another former WEC fighter Kenji Osawa who is making his return to Japan.
SRC also held a press conference at the same time, which raised a few eyebrows but was inevitably on a completely different page than DREAM. SRC announced that starting at SRC 13 they would be conforming to the Unified MMA rules. NOB reports this also applies to weight classes;
One reason for the change is that Japanese fighters currently have more chances to fight abroad. Another is for top-class foreign fighters to fight in SRC.
