Remigijus Morkevicius Return to K-1

After a long break from the fight game, Lithuanian Remigijus Morkevicius will make his return to the ring at the K-1 World GP 2010 in Vilnius - European Tournament on April 10th.

Remigijus had some trouble with the law when he was arrested in February 2009 for assaulting a police officer and sending him to hospital after the officer tried to stop a group of drunk youth vandalizing cars in the center of Kaunas, Lithuania.

Remigijus recently spent time in Korea at a monastery, where Buddhist monks helped improved his knowledge of martial arts.

He's encountered some major challenges with his spine and doctors said that he's risking to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair if he fights again but has decided to return to professional sports.

Morkevicius sports a 16-5-0 MMA record and last fought in K-1 at the K-1 WORLD MAX 2008 -FINAL8- where he suffered a 1st round KO to Andre Dida.
