World Victory Road adds Blanco/Park, Maeda/Kanehara, and more.

World Victory Road announced four more MMA bouts for their New Year's "Sengoku: Soul of Fight" New Year's event. In an interesting development, two of the bouts are cross-promotional fights with the DREAM promotion.

Lightweight knockout artist, Maximo Blanco, takes on DREAM's Won Sik Park, while former Sengoku featherweight champion, Masanori Kanehara, will face WEC title challenger, Yoshiro Maeda. Blanco will be looking for his 4th win in 2010 against "Parky", who's only DREAM appearance came against Kuniyoshi Hironaka, in which he suffered an eye injury in the first round. Kanehara will try and get back in the win column after current featherweight champion, Marlon Sandro, turned him into a highlight reel earlier this year. Maeda looks to build off his decision win against Takafumi Otsuka back at DEEP 50th Impact.

A great women's bout was also announced as Strikeforce veterans, Roxanne Modafferi, and Hitomi Akano go head to head at 135 pounds. Also added was female veteran, Misaki Takimoto vs. Amy Davis.

"Sengoku: Soul of Fight" is expected to be an all-day martial arts festival including muay-thai, kickboxing, and grappling contests as well as MMA bouts. HDNet Fights CEO, Andrew Simon, told MMAJunkie.com that some portion of the card will more than likely be live on HDNet. The card goes down on December 30th from the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.
