Gegard Mousasi Respectfully Dispatches Gary Goodridge
There isn't a lot to expect from Gary Goodridge at this point in his career. His best days are behind him, while Gegard Mousasi's best days have yet to begin. After seeing Kazuyuki Fujita stretchered out after the devastating knee kick from Alistair Overeem, one has to believe that we could see back-to-back stretcher jobs.
Mousasi has his usual cool confidence about him, this time with a bit of a smirk to go with it. Mousasi seems to understand the gravity (or lack thereof) of this bout as he easily takes Goodridge down and starts raining down the punishment before Big Daddy is able to push him off of him for just a brief moment before Mousasi ends up in an inverted mount on Goodridge. Mousasi transitions back to facing down at Goodridge and rains down enough shots to force the ref's hand into stopping the fight.
Gary, bloody, beaten, stands up and argues with the ref that he was fine. Gary can thank Gegard for not having a repeat of Fujita here tonight.
