Extended Sengoku Drama: Sengoku Will Not Run Ariake Colosseum
For a show that nobody really knows will happen or not, Sengoku has sure gotten their name out there. World Victory Road today announced that there is possibly a scheduling conflict for an amateur wrestling event scheduled to take place in the Ariake Colosseum. This comes after their website moved to SRC-Official.com and the tickets that were no longer on sale were being sold again.
Confused yet? World Victory Road is either playing hardball here or something has happened and they will continue to promote a MMA show on New Year's Eve. This could mean a multitude of things, the surface level makes it seem like they will just move to another arena. In a good world it would mean booking a larger arena to seat more fans. In a perfect world it would mean a giant arena and a national television deal they didn't have to pay for. This could also be WVR pulling out and finding a way to work with FEG honorably. On the other side of the coin they could honestly be scrambling for an arena here, at this point it is hard to really tell what is going on.
My bet? They announce moving to the Saitama Super Arena and have some sort of bogus "war" with K-1 on New Year's Eve. Hopefully more later.

Agreed.
There is absolutely no other option at this point.
When what sounds like a youth wrestling meet has pre-empted your show you can pretty much tell the public does not care about you.

Isn't Saitama Super Arena already booked?
By K-1/FEG on NYE? Or do you think they’ll also reschedule the card.

See, that is the thing.
It absolutely is. It’ll just be a part of some staged promotional war that Tanigawa has more or less confirmed.
